Florida Keys Pictures Tell Their
Own Florida Keys Vacation Story
If you've been on a Florida Keys vacation you undoubtedly will have many memories and numerous Florida Keys pictures.
If you've never had an opportunity to vacation in Florida Keys, seeing pictures of the area and it's wildlife can be fun and educational.
Not only are the Florida Keys beautiful, they support a broad spectrum of wildlife, some unusual and even unique to the area.
The Florida alligator is almost synonymous with the State and the Florida Keys.
Alligators, the toothy icons of the region, can be found throughout Florida and are very prevalent in the Everglades National Park. They are also commonly seen at the Blue Hole located on Big Pine Key at the National Key Deer Refuge.
Of course birds are everywhere, and the area is filled with a variety of wading species such as the great blue heron and the white ibis.
There's also the anhinga or the snake bird, which can 'fly' under water for distances of 200 feet or more as it swims after fish.
The following Florida Keys pictures are just a sampling of some of the photos we, and our Readers, have taken over the years.
