Florida Keys Hotels
Florida Keys Hotels not only provide you with shelter and the normal luxuries you’re use to from home, but they also offer something else. They offer the feel and relaxing atmosphere of a Caribbean island paradise, not to mention the breathtaking views of the Florida Keys. All of the major keys including Key Largo, Marathon, Islamorada, Big Pine Key, and Key West have numerous accommodation options. Florida Keys hotels range in class from the ultra extravagant “Little Palm Island and Spa” which can only be reached by seaplane or boat, to the less expensive but very nice Holiday Inn Key West. If you would rather stay somewhere a little more intimate, there are also plenty of bed and breakfasts to choose from. The keys also have a number of vacation rentals available. These are usually houses and condos people rent out by the week to vacationers. Room rates will vary throughout the year. They are higher between Christmas and Easter and for special events and three-day holidays. Typically, the highest rates apply during special annual events such as the Fantasy Fest and the lobster mini-season. There are good hotel deals in the fall, while early December is the best period to travel to the Keys, when temperatures are moderate and humidity is low. Florida Keys Camping is another popular option for vacationers needing accommodations. There are plenty of Florida Keys campgrounds located throughout the keys. Most if not all have electric hookups, showers, bathrooms, and grilling areas. Keep in mind when camping that Florida’s temperatures can reach the 90’s in the summer months with very high humidity levels. Also make sure to bring plenty of mosquito spray. Like everything else in the keys there is something for everyone and that includes accommodations.
